12th
The international potluck party was held on March 12th.
78 people from 7 countries joined the party. The people enjoyed the variety of foods. They also enjoyed singing songs and playing games during the party.

8th
A special calligraphy event for the New year took place at the first Japanese class of  2017. About 40 students challenged writing with brushes which they are not used to using. They wished that this year would be a good year to them.

Nov.
20th
Japanese class students took a bus trip to Kyoto. Total 95 people from 8 countries (Vietnam, China, Philippines, Indonesia, Brazil, Peru, Thailand, Japan) visited Kinkakuji, Sanjyu Sangendo, and Fushimi Inari.

30th
The 14th Konnichi World Festival was held at Handa Akarenga Tatemono, and was crowded with many people. There were 8-country booths. The visitors enjoyed the international stage, foods, quiz and stamp rally.

July 31th Tanabata party was held to introduce Japanese cultures to foreign residents.
The participants enjoyed various activities such as writing wishes on Tanzaku papers, playing traditional Japanese toys, tea ceremony, “Bon dance”, etc. The party was crowded with total 197 people including 101 foreigners from 10 countries.

April 22th The general assembly of Handa International Association was held. All items proposed in the general assembly were approved without any corrections. Commemorating lecture, "Connecting the happiness  -Bhutan and Handa-" was also held after the assembly.

April 3rd Japanese class students and volunteers went on a cherry blossom picnic. They walked to Kariyado Park after a Japanese class on April 3. 78 people participated the picnic. They enjoyed beautiful Sakura flowers in the park.
