    ミッドランド市は、アメリカ中西部・ミシガン州の中央にあり、豊かな自然に囲まれた「森の中の化学工業都市」として発展しています。また、医療、教育、文化、リクリエーションなど広い分野にわたって充実しており、「知的な心を持ったまち」でもあります。

    Midland, located in the middle of Michigan, U.S.A..'s mid west, is proud of its natural heritage and is called "the chemical industry city in the forest."  It has well equipped facilities for medical care, education, cultural and recreational activities.  It is also called the "intelligence city." 

豪　ニューサウスウェールズ州ポートマッコーリー：

　ポートマッコーリーは、シドニーの北420kmにあり、オーストラリア東海岸・タスマン海に面した美しい海と川、緑豊かな森と草原に恵まれたリゾートのまちです。森には、コアラや野生の動物が棲息し、都市的機能と自然環境がうまく調和した優しいまちです。

    Port Macquarie, located 420km north of Sydney, faces the beautiful Tasman sea, on the east coast of Australia.  It is a resort blessed with beautiful rivers, green forests, and grasslands.  There are koalas and wild animals in the forest.  It is a wonderful city in which urban function and nature harmonize.

    徐州市は半田市と同緯度にある、江蘇省北西部の中心都市です。古くから交通の要地であり、覇王・項羽はこの地を楚国の都とするなど、歴史的遺跡も多い都市です。現在も二大鉄道や大運河、道路が交差し、豊富な農産物や製品の集散地であるとともに、商・工業はめざましい発展を続けています。

    Xuzhou is a hub in the north west of Jiangsu.  Xuzhou and Handa are approximately on the same latitude.  It has been an important place in transportation network for centuries.  In ancient times the kind, Xiang Yu, made this city the capital of Chu.  Accordingly, there are many historical remains.  Now Xuzhou, which has 2 big railraoads, a wide canal and important roads, is a market place for farm products and goods, and is rapidly developing its business and industry.
